To study the effect of acute exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields generated by mobile phones on an auditory threshold task.

Background/further details

The study replicates a previous study (publication 10779) with much larger sample of participants (168 participants).
Subjects had to decide on which side the first of two succeeding auditory stimuli was presented. Inter-stimulus-intervals were gradually reduced as long as no mistakes occured; wrong responses led to expansion of the intervals.
