The obtained femoral bone marrow cells were loosely designated only by morphological criteria and classified into three groups: a) granulocyte precursor cells, b) erythroblastic cell lines, and c) "stem cells" which includes early erythroblasts, myclobasts*, and lymphocytes. Only the latter group may be affected by microwave irradiation, as indicated by an increased mitotic index. (* remark by evaluator: the study mentioned mycloblasts and myclobasts. There are no such cells.)
