Study type: Medical/biological study (experimental study)

Gene expression does not change significantly in C3H 10T(1/2) cells after exposure to 847.74 CDMA or 835.62 FDMA radiofrequency radiation med./bio.

Published in: Radiat Res 2006; 165 (6): 626-635

Aim of study (acc. to author)

To study whether FDMA or CDMA modulated radiofrequency irradiations induce changes in gene expression in mouse cells.

Background/further details

Cells exposed to 0.68 Gy of X rays were used as positive controls.

Exposure setup
Exposure source
Chamber A detailed description of the radial transmission line (RTL) irradiator and its environmental controls has been given in several publications (see reference articles).
Setup The culture flasks were distributed angularly around the antenna with their centers located at a radius of 29.2 cm.
Sham exposure A sham exposure was conducted.
Additional info The flasks for simultaneous sham exposure were handled in the same way as the flasks exposed to RF radiation but RTLs were not connected to an RF field source.
